History of the department

The founder of the department, Associate Professor Boltabaev Rakhmatali Kurbonalievich, organized city clinical and anatomical conferences that attracted doctors of all specialties, organized student circles. He also strengthened the staff of the department. Boltaboev has published more than 50 scientific papers, completed PhD dissertations by assistants A.H. Rustamov and R.M.Turaev, as well as morphological sections of a number of PhD dissertations. Associate Professor Boltaboev is the founder of the consultative “environments” where pathologists of the city and the region discussed complex biopsy and autopsy cases. Over the years, the department has changed its name and heads. In August 1996, by order of the rector of the Institute, R. M. Akhmedov, the Department of “Pathological Anatomy” and the Department of “Pathological Physiology” merged and was renamed the Department of “Pathology”. In September 1998, the department was named “Pathological Anatomy and pathological Physiology”.

Currently, the head of the department is B.A.Sanoev. Bakhtiyor Abdurasulovich Sanoev was born in 1978 in the city of Bukhara. B.A.Sanoev graduated from the Bukhara State Medical Institute in 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he studied clinical residency at the Department of Pathological Anatomy, in 2007-2018 he worked at the Bukhara Regional Pathology Bureau. From 2008-2018 he worked as the head of the Bukhara Regional Pathology Bureau.From 2018 to the present, he has been working at the Bukhara State Medical Institute. B.A.Sanoev defended his thesis for a PhD degree in 2021 (scientific supervisor – Professor R. Israilov). Over the past 3 years, the staff of the department has published more than 60 articles in republican, Russian and foreign journals; received 5 patents; 2 scientific monographs, more than 5 educational and methodological manuals, methodological guidelines. Over the past 2 years, the department has defended: 3 PhD theses.
