Scholarships to Be Reallocated Based on Academic Performance

On March 10, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Resolution No. 149, which established the “Regulation on the Procedure for Awarding and Reallocating Scholarships in Higher Education Institutions.” According to this document, the allocation of state-funded education opportunities in universities will now be based on fairer and more incentive-based criteria.

From now on, scholarships will be fully or partially awarded to second-year and senior students who demonstrate high academic performance and actively participate in social life. This aims to encourage not only academically successful students but also those who are socially active.

According to the resolution, a differentiated approach to reallocating state scholarship quotas has been introduced in higher education institutions. The goal is to create a healthy competitive environment among students, improve the quality of education, and ensure the principles of social justice.

This new policy is expected to motivate students to continuously strive for academic excellence and take a more active role in university life.
