With the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), leading medical specialists from Turkey visited the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina.
During the visit, they met with the institute’s rector, Professor Shukhrat Teshayev, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, medicine, residency programs, and staff training.
The Turkish delegation familiarized themselves with the institute’s clinical bases, educational buildings, laboratories, and simulation centers. They also highly appreciated the educational process at the Turkish Faculty of Medicine operating under the institute.
📍The visit took place on June 13–14. The guests exchanged experiences with professors and teachers and conducted master classes.
The main goal of the visit was to deepen medical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, including:
- training highly qualified specialists,
- establishing academic exchanges,
- studying modern medical technology practices.
The delegation included prominent Turkish specialists such as Prof. Dr. Serap Aykut Aka, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özatik, Dr. Alper Selim Kocaoğlu, and Dr. Zinar Apaydın.
This visit is a clear reflection of the strategic cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries in the field of medicine.
