An online seminar-training titled “Detecting Fake Profiles and Cyber Fraud” was organized at the institute to prevent cyber fraud carried out through fake social media profiles and to improve employees’ digital literacy.
The event was conducted to ensure the implementation of the relevant directive from the Bukhara Regional Hokimiyat, as well as in accordance with an official order of the institute’s rector. The seminar was held via the Zoom platform and was attended by all institute staff members.

During the event, participants received detailed preventive explanations about cases in which employees are misled through fake social media accounts created in the names of high-ranking officials, as well as situations involving illegal instructions and financial damage.
During the seminar, participants were provided with:
— procedures for verifying instructions sent from fake accounts;
— methods for identifying financial and information security threats;
— practical case studies close to real-life situations;
— recommendations from specialists and experts;
— a question-and-answer session.

The event was organized and coordinated by the institute’s Center for Digital Education Technologies. At the conclusion of the seminar, a list of participants was compiled, and the relevant reporting documents were properly prepared in accordance with established procedures.
The seminar helped strengthen employees’ information security culture, raise awareness of cyber fraud risks, and further develop skills for safe activity in the digital environment.
