On May 9th – Day of Remembrance and Reverence, as well as the 81st anniversary of the great victory in the Second World War, solemn commemorations and events are being held throughout the Bukhara region.

Early this morning, under the leadership of the regional governor, the regional governor’s deputies, law enforcement agencies, heads and officials of state and public organizations, labor veterans, representatives from the medical, higher education, secondary special, preschool, and school education institutions, military units, law enforcement officers, representatives of state and public organizations, labor veterans, and youth gathered at the Memorial Square in Bukhara.

The gathered individuals laid wreaths at the foot of the “Grieving Mother” monument and paid their respects to the memory of our fellow citizens who sacrificed their lives for peace and the future of generations. Their memory was once again honored with reverence. Those present observed a moment of silence in memory of the brave sons who sacrificed their lives for peace, tranquility, and freedom, and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.

The events of May 9th – Day of Remembrance and Reverence are being widely celebrated across all cities, districts, villages, neighborhoods, organizations, and institutions of the region.
