Delegation of Bukhara State Medical Institute Returns from China with Important Agreements

The delegation of Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute visited Xi’an, China, participating in the III Uzbekistan–China Interregional Cooperation Forum and several international medical conferences, achieving key cooperation agreements.

The delegation, led by the institute’s Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Laziz Niyazov, attended the “Integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Modern Medicine in Urology and Nephrology” forum at Xi’an Jiaotong University and the “China–Thailand–Uzbekistan Clinical Medical Education Exchange Forum.”

🤝 Within the framework of the forum, agreements were signed between Bukhara State Medical Institute and the 2nd affiliated hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University on:

✅ Establishing a China–Uzbekistan Kidney Interventional Diagnostics and Treatment Center;

✅ Joint publication of the manuals “Blood Purification Procedures” and “Interventional Nephrology Practices” in Uzbek and Russian languages.

🧠 One of the key outcomes of the visit was the proposal to establish a laboratory in Bukhara for medical education and practical skills development based on artificial intelligence.

🔬 The project will focus on:
▫️ Early detection of diabetic nephropathy;
▫️ Creating AI models for kidney disease prognosis;
▫️ Digital management of hemodialysis patients;
▫️ Implementation of telemedicine platforms using artificial intelligence.

🎓 During meetings with the leadership of Xi’an Jiaotong University, new areas of collaboration were also defined:

🔹 Joint projects in women’s oncology;
🔹 Launching a “Visiting Professor” program;
🔹 Opening joint master’s programs from the 2027/2028 academic year;
🔹 Free access to the university’s electronic scientific databases;
🔹 Expanding collaboration in artificial intelligence, nephrology, obstetrics-gynecology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, and medical technologies.

📈 This visit serves to elevate Bukhara State Medical Institute’s international relations to a new level, implement modern technologies in medical education and practice, and create new opportunities for students and faculty.
