The Forum of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Spain is taking place in Madrid, Spain. The prestigious international event is being attended by the heads of more than 40 higher education institutions from the two countries.

Shuhrat Teshayev, Rector of Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, is also participating in the forum.

As part of the forum, Shuhrat Teshayev met with Ana Felicitas Muñoz Pérez, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Spain’s Rey Juan Carlos University — Universidad Rey Juan Carlos — and discussed prospects for cooperation in higher education and scientific research.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to student and faculty exchange, the launch of joint educational programs, the implementation of scientific projects, and the introduction of modern approaches in medical education.

At the plenary and sectional sessions of the forum, a number of initiatives are being discussed aimed at developing professional competencies, improving the quality of scientific research, enhancing the practical training system, and strengthening international academic cooperation.

This forum serves as one of the important steps toward further expanding the international relations of Bukhara State Medical Institute, launching new projects with foreign partners, and improving the quality of medical education.
