Abu Ali Ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute hosted a seminar dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness of mentor and tutor operations across the campus.
The event was attended by Rector of the Institute Shuhrat Teshayev, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs Zubayda Bakhranova, and Advisor to the Rector M. Mahmudov, who provided practical guidance and actionable recommendations to the attending advisors and tutors.
Special focus was given to identifying students at risk, addressing attendance issues, and supporting those requiring social protection. The discussion underscored the necessity of an individualized approach and a clear understanding of each student’s family background and personal circumstances.

Key tasks were also outlined for monitoring students’ mental well-being, conducting psychological workshops to prevent depression and aggression, preventing juvenile delinquency, and ensuring the safety of students living in rented apartments.
Participants emphasized the vital need for ongoing collaboration with local community (mahalla) leaders and assigned crime prevention officers. The seminar concluded with mentors engaging in an open exchange of ideas on overcoming everyday challenges in student guidance.

After all, a mentor and tutor’s guidance today is an investment in a student’s tomorrow!
