HONOR AND RESPECT FOR VETERAN FACULTY MEMBERS

In Uzbekistan, the first week of October is celebrated annually as the “Week of Senior Citizens.” This tradition was established pursuant to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 816 dated September 27, 2019, and is intrinsically linked to October 1 — International Day of Older Persons.
In connection with this occasion, an educational event was held at the Abu Ali Ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute dedicated to honoring veteran professors and faculty members who have made significant contributions to the development of education and medicine over many years.
The event was attended by the institute’s leadership, honorary professors and instructors, senior veterans, and representatives of the public. Speakers highlighted the veteran educators’ many years of productive service, their rich life and professional experience, and their invaluable role in the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
Deep respect and gratitude were expressed to the veteran faculty members, underscoring their meaningful place in the institute’s community. It was noted that the exemplary life paths of these mentors, who imparted scientific knowledge and professional expertise to generations of students, serve as an inspiring model for today’s youth.

Honoring the elderly is a vivid expression of our national values and noble human virtues!
