BUKHARA STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE CONDUCTS AWARENESS SESSIONS ON SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH

On October 20–21, 2026, Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino organized preventive and explanatory sessions on safety regulations and occupational health.
Specifically, on October 21, an awareness meeting was held with deans, deputy deans, tutors, dormitory educators, and staff members. The discussion focused on ensuring safe living conditions for students residing in rented and private accommodation, adhering to fire safety rules, preventing carbon monoxide poisoning, and correctly operating heating equipment.
Senior Lieutenant Sardor Narzullayev, Inspector of the Bukhara City Emergency Situations Department, and Oybek Safarovich Sharipov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs at BSMI, attended the event and provided recommendations on emergency prevention and response protocols.

Additionally, on October 20, an assessment exam was conducted for institute leadership and personnel following the completion of occupational safety training sessions. Organized by representatives of the Labor Inspection, the test aimed to reinforce employees’ knowledge of workplace safety, ensure secure working conditions, and prevent occupational accidents.
These initiatives are dedicated to enhancing the safety culture within the institute and safeguarding the lives and health of both staff and students.
