On October 29, 2026, representatives of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, undergoing an internship at the University Hospital Lübeck (Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein) in Germany, had the opportunity to observe a living-donor kidney transplantation process.
During the surgery, the participants got acquainted with the main stages of extracting the donor kidney, preparing it for transplantation, and transplanting it into the recipient’s body.
Special attention was also paid to the surgical team’s collaboration, the use of modern medical technologies, and surgical techniques requiring high precision and coordination.
This experience allowed the participants to enrich their knowledge and expertise in advanced transplantology practices, modern surgical approaches, and the organization of high-tech medical services in the German healthcare system.
