MEANINGFUL AND EFFECTIVE LEISURE TIME ORGANIZED FOR BSMI STUDENTS
At the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, a series of events are being held aimed at meaningfully organizing students’ extracurricular time, broadening their spiritual outlook, and developing their intellectual and creative capabilities.
In particular, students of the Pediatrics program at the Faculty of Medicine participated in an essay competition on “Fire Safety,” demonstrating their knowledge of safety rules and appropriate actions in emergency situations.
Additionally, students of group 213 of the General Medicine program enjoyed cultural leisure by watching the play “Return to the Motherland” at the “Eternal Bukhara” Regional Musical Drama Theatre. Group 112 students organized a spiritual and educational trip to the sacred Bahouddin Naqshband complex.

Numerous activities were also organized within the framework of the “Five Important Initiatives.” Specifically, first-year Pediatrics students took part in a poetry recitation event, computer literacy workshop sessions, as well as chess and checkers tournaments.
Special attention is paid to students’ mental health. Institute psychologist N. Tosheva and faculty tutors organized a round table on “Mental Health — The Key to Successful Education” for first-year Pediatrics students. Discussions covered adapting to a new educational environment, managing stress, controlling emotions, and maintaining psychological stability.
Furthermore, first-year students of the Faculty of Biomedicine visited the institute’s museum to explore the rich history, scientific heritage, historical exhibits, and achievements of renowned professors and teachers of the university. First-year Higher Nursing Care students reinforced their knowledge of preventing carbon monoxide poisoning by taking a thematic dictation.
