Abstract

Stomatitis is inflammation of the mouth and lips. It refers to any inflammatory pro-cess affecting the mucous membranes of the mouth and lips, with or without oral ulceration. Stomati-tis is the term for a number of conditions that result in inflammation in and around the mouth. From redness to blistering to swelling, stomatitis can be a painful condition, and the treatment for this con-dition depends on its cause.
