Abstract
The use of synthetic materials for hemioplasty in patients with postoperative ventral hernias (PVH) allows us to reduce the frequency of wound complications and recurrences of hernias. However, the success of surgical treatment of PVH depends on proper preparation for the operation, selection of optimal method of alloplasty and efficient management of the patient during the postoper-ative period. Results of surgical treatment of 143 patients with PVH, which were operated during 2018-2022 Bukhara regional multidisciplinary medical center, were analyzed. Polypropylene mesh implants produced by «Paha» (Turkey) were used for hemioplasty. In 65 (45,4%) patients onlay plas-ty was performed; 78 (54,5%) patients underwent sublay plasty. In the early postoperative period general complications were noted in 7 (4,8%) patients, wound complications - in 15 (10,5%) patients, recurrence of hernia - in 6 (4,2%) patients, the mortality rate was 0,69%. To improve the results of surgical treatment of patients with PVH one should follow some recommendations. In the preopera-tive period a comprehensive examination of patients with the preparation of individual program of prevention of wound, tromboembolic and pulmonary complications can be helpful. To reduce the fre-quency of recurrence of hernias at normal rates of intraabdominal pressure reconstructive surgery with subfascial mesh implantation is recommended. Guide patients to limitation of physical exertion and bandages wearing.
