Abstract
To reduce the negative effects of chemotherapy for breast cancer, it is advisable to use a combination of thymalin and pomegranate seed oil. The chemotherapeutic drug paclitaxel is considered an inhibitor of mitosis, blocks cell division, disrupts the function of microtubules and some enzyme proteins. Chemotherapy affects the metabolism of amino acids and some nucleic acids, lipids affecting cellular respiration. Chemicals damage other cells too, including skin cells and their appendages. Pomegranate seed oil, a natural antioxidant, eliminates the toxic properties of chemotherapy drugs. Therefore, in recent years, much attention has been paid to replacing drugs with natural antioxidants of plant origin in case of tissue damage.
