A meeting dedicated to international students was held at Bukhara State Medical Institute

Today, the rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, Professor Shuhrat Teshayev, together with the institute’s vice-rectors, held a meeting with newly admitted international students from India and Pakistan.

The meeting was held in a friendly and sincere atmosphere. The students were informed in detail about the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the rules of conduct to be observed in dormitories, during the educational process, and in public places.

During the conversation, Rector Shuhrat Teshayev emphasized the institute’s growing international reputation, the quality of education, modern teaching methods, and the wide opportunities for research. He highlighted that the modern laboratories, clinical bases, and academic environment play an important role in the professional development of foreign students.

“At our institute, foreign students not only acquire modern medical knowledge but also learn about Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage while preserving and respecting their national values and traditions. This fosters friendship, tolerance, and cross-cultural cooperation,” — said Rector Shuhrat Teshayev.

The students shared their impressions and suggestions, asked questions about the learning process, language of instruction, clinical practices, and student life.

At the end of the meeting, the university administration encouraged international students to strive for academic excellence, make full use of the opportunities available, and actively participate in Bukhara’s cultural life.

Today, Bukhara State Medical Institute cooperates with more than 30 countries around the world. Hundreds of students from India, Pakistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Egypt, and African countries are currently studying here. The institute is integrated into the international system of medical education and carries out joint programs, faculty exchanges, and scientific projects with foreign universities.

This meeting became not only a step toward integrating new students into university life but also an important milestone in strengthening international academic cooperation.
