At the moment, representatives of the Institute headed by the rector of the Bukhara State Medical Institute Shukhrat Teshaev are in Milan, Italy. The main purpose of the trip was to participate in the HARMONEE meeting (Harmonization and Mutual Recognition of Master’s degree programs in the field of occupational health and the Environment), a major grant project aimed at harmonization and mutual recognition of master’s degree programs in the field of occupational health and the environment. It should be noted that prestigious universities from five Central Asian countries, the Netherlands and Italy are participating in this project, which will last until 2023.

Based on the current needs and gaps in Central Asian countries, improve public health knowledge and practice, strengthen new disciplinary skills needed in the field of public health, such as environmental epidemiology, toxicology, infectious diseases, exposure sciences, occupational health, risk assessment for graduate students. the issues of module development were discussed.

In addition, during the trip, our representatives got acquainted with the educational and practical processes of the University of Milan, which is considered a prestigious university in Europe. In the future, negotiations were held between the Bukhara State Medical Institute in order to develop cooperation relations. A memorandum of cooperation on academic mobility, student exchange, and the creation of joint educational programs on epidemiology and infectious diseases was signed.
