BUKHARA STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE REPRESENTATIVES UNDERGO INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP IN GERMANY
Four representatives of Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino are undergoing an international practical internship in the Surgery Department of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein) in Lübeck, Germany.
The internship, taking place from October 17 to November 8, 2026, features two doctors — Feruza Sayfulloyevna Nabiyeva and Go‘zal Ubaydullayevna Nurova, alongside students Sharofat Hakimjonova (4th year) and Amirbek Usmonov (5th year).
During the practical training, participants are gaining insight into surgical department workflows, operation planning, modern surgical techniques, laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgeries, as well as team collaboration practices among healthcare professionals.

Specifically, on October 19–20, they observed open and laparoscopic surgical procedures and closely familiarized themselves with a kidney tumor resection performed using the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
This international internship serves to enhance participants’ professional knowledge and clinical skills, explore advanced German medical practices, and expand opportunities for integrating these techniques into local healthcare practice.
Bukhara State Medical Institute continues its consistent efforts to expand international cooperation, adopt cutting-edge medical technologies, and raise the quality of medical education.
