​Deputy Minister of Education and Science Sanjar Mirzaliyev visited the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina to inspect the activities of the higher education institution, educational quality, scientific potential, and modern conditions created for students.
​The guest was welcomed by the Rector of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Shukhrat Teshayev.
​During the visit, the Deputy Minister first examined the activities of the Laboratory of Traditional Medicine under the institute. Information was presented on scientific research being conducted in traditional medicine, integration efforts with modern medicine, and the laboratory’s capabilities.
​Furthermore, the Information Resource Center of the institute was inspected, highlighting the educational resources, scientific and educational literature funds, and independent learning opportunities provided for students and faculty.

​The visit also included a tour of the Institute Museum, which displays the history of the establishment of the university, stages of its development, achievements, and rich experience in medical education.
​Special attention was given to the operations of the Simulation Center. The capabilities created at the center for developing students’ practical skills, modeling clinical scenarios, and enhancing professional qualifications using modern medical equipment were demonstrated.
​Throughout the visit, views were exchanged on improving the quality of education at the institute, developing research activities, and broadly implementing modern pedagogical and innovative technologies into the educational process.
