Distinguished Guests from Russia Visit the Institute

The international cooperation of Bukhara State Medical Institute is developing rapidly. Currently, the institute is working under agreements with medical and educational institutions from more than 20 countries worldwide. Over 10 prestigious universities have established joint educational programs, allowing thousands of students to pursue dual diplomas. These collaborations aim to further enhance medical education, support scientific research, and train highly qualified specialists through international experience exchange.

Today, a delegation from Kuban State Medical University, one of Russia’s leading higher education institutions, visited the institute. The delegation included Vice-Rector Andrey Sukhanin and Oleg Acheldyev. It is worth noting that cooperation between Bukhara State Medical Institute and Kuban State Medical University began in 2019 in the field of dentistry. Today, graduates of this program continue their studies at Kuban State Medical University.

To implement modern and innovative approaches in medicine, as well as to elevate cooperation to a new level and enhance practical medical training, Bukhara State Medical Institute and Kuban State Medical University are developing new joint educational programs. In particular, the launch of a specialized program in clinical residency is planned, which will provide students with the opportunity to obtain a dual diploma. These programs will enable students to study advanced medical practices in Uzbekistan and Russia, learn from experienced professors, and undergo internships in modern clinics.

One of the key areas of cooperation is the development and scientific research of traditional medicine. Traditional medicine has a rich history in both Uzbekistan and Russia, and its knowledge can be integrated with modern medical practices. The two universities have agreed to conduct joint research projects, study the scientific basis of traditional medicine methods, and explore their application in clinical practice.

During their visit, the Russian delegation, accompanied by the rector of the institute, Shuhrat Teshayev, reviewed the facilities of the modern clinic and the educational simulation center.

Furthermore, within the framework of cooperation, scientific research will be conducted, and conferences, seminars, and scientific symposiums will be organized for professors and young scientists. The scientific collaboration between Kuban State Medical University and Bukhara State Medical Institute will contribute to the development of medical innovations, the implementation of new diagnostic and treatment methods, and the advancement of modern laboratory research.

The partnership between these two universities not only provides students with access to modern knowledge and experience but also strengthens scientific and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Russia. In the future, this cooperation is expected to grow further and lay the foundation for new achievements in the field of medicine.
