International Medical Forum and Rectors’ Presidium Meeting Held at Bukhara State Medical Institute
➡️ As a result of reforms carried out in the healthcare system of our country, the field of medicine is rapidly developing. In this process, the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina occupies a special place.
Founded in 1990, this institution has today become one of the largest scientific and educational centers in our country. The main goal of the institute is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of medicine, develop scientific research, and expand international cooperation. Currently, more than 10,000 students are studying at the institute, nearly 2,000 of whom are young people from over 20 foreign countries.

In recent years, modern simulation centers, laboratories equipped with high technologies, an electronic library, and a digital education system have been established at the institute. Special classes are organized for students in English, Chinese, Turkish, Russian, and other languages, which shows that the educational process is aligned with international standards. Moreover, the institute has signed memorandums and cooperation agreements with leading universities in the USA, China, Turkey, South Korea, India, and other countries.
On the basis of such scientific and educational potential, an international medical forum was held today in Bukhara, dedicated to the 1045th anniversary of the birth of the great physician and scholar Abu Ali ibn Sina, as well as the 35th anniversary of the institute. The forum was attended not only by domestic universities but also by distinguished scientists, professors, and rectors from China, India, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, Poland, and Tajikistan. Topics such as digital technologies in medicine, artificial intelligence–based diagnostics, genetic research, and innovative treatment methods were widely discussed.

In addition, the small conference hall of the Bukhara State Medical Institute hosted the next meeting of the presidium of rectors of medical universities. The meeting discussed issues such as ensuring the integration of theory and practice, improving students’ practical skills, enhancing the qualifications of professors and teachers, and improving the quality of education in clinical bases.
The meeting was chaired by Jasur Rizaev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University and Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Medical Higher Education Institutions. In his speech, he especially emphasized the priority directions of providing students with modern knowledge and skills and organizing the educational process on the basis of international standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, important agreements were reached on experience exchange, development of joint programs, and strengthening mutual cooperation among medical universities.
Today, thanks to its rich scientific traditions, modern infrastructure, and an educational system based on international cooperation, the Bukhara State Medical Institute is recognized as one of the prestigious universities not only in our country but also in the entire region.
