Yesterday, with the participation of the Department of Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational activities of the Bukhara State Medical Institute and officials of the Faculty of Medicine, based on the interests of the students of the Faculty, in order to attract them to sports and to form the interest of the youth of the Behishtiyan microdistrict of the city of Bukhara, attached to the faculty, in physical culture and sports competitions in volleyball and chess were organized in the high school gym.

Zubaida Bahranova, the first vice-rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and educational work of BUKHGMI, opened the event with an introductory speech, recognizing that attracting young people to sports will ensure their health, good studies and the spread of friendship. She congratulated all the young people who took part on their active participation in the event.

Volleyball and chess-checkers competitions were held between students of the medical faculty of the institute and the youth of the district. The teams competed with great enthusiasm. The competitions were an instrument of camaraderie and sportsmanship and promoted the health of young people.

At the end of the event, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, local youth leaders, tutors and teachers of the physical education course awarded the winners of the competition with certificates of honor and souvenirs of the Institute.
