Step into the Future: Financial Opportunities and Entrepreneurship Training for Graduates at Bukhara Medical Institute

On April 19, 2025, within the framework of the “Step into the Future” program, a seminar-training and “Career Day” job fair were held at Abu Ali ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute for graduating students. The event was attended by Lazizbek Oblokulov, a representative of the credit department of the Bukhara regional branch of Uzmilliybank, who provided detailed information about the bank’s financial services and preferential loan lines developed specifically for young specialists.

During the job fair, over 30 medical institutions and financial organizations offered job opportunities to graduates of undergraduate, master’s, and clinical residency programs. Students nearing graduation received consultations regarding internships and residency options.

The seminar highlighted the content and purpose of the “Step into the Future” program, based on the Presidential Decree from February 18, 2025, aimed at supporting graduate employment. Oblokulov explained the procedures for obtaining preferential loans of up to 300 million UZS at an annual interest rate of up to 4%, introduced products such as the free “StartMed” account and discounted POS terminals, and outlined support mechanisms for developing business plans, budgeting, and loan guarantee documentation. The meeting continued in a Q&A format, where the commercial potential of ideas like opening private clinics, mobile diagnostic services, and pharmaceutical logistics was actively discussed.

Information was also provided about the recently launched “Step into the Future” center at Bukhara State University. The center offers students coworking spaces, mentoring programs, business incubation opportunities, access to grant projects, and ongoing consultations on banking, tax, and legal matters. As a result of the event, more than 120 graduates signed preliminary agreements for employment and internships, and 15 innovative business projects were submitted to the first selection phase of the program. The seminar helped participants improve their financial literacy, realize their entrepreneurial potential within their field, and gain practical skills to launch competitive medical startups in the region.
