A significant meeting aimed at preventing drug addiction and substance abuse was organized at Bukhara State Medical Institute. The meeting was held under the leadership of the institute’s rector, with the participation of professors and lecturers from the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology.

During the event, participants exchanged views on the urgency of combating drug addiction and the negative consequences it has on young people’s lives and the development of society. Discussions also focused on strengthening awareness campaigns against narcotic substances among students and effectively organizing preventive measures.

During the meeting, the rector gave instructions on actions to be taken to combat drug addiction among students. These included regularly organizing educational events, holding seminars and training sessions with the participation of professors and experts, and providing information on the harmful effects of drug abuse. These efforts aim to enhance students’ awareness and resilience against drug addiction, contributing to a healthier and safer academic environment.
