The First Meeting of the Coordinating Council of the CICA Partnership Network of Leading Universities (PNLU)

✅ The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is a multinational forum aimed at strengthening cooperation to ensure peace, security, and stability in Asia. Currently, 28 countries are members of this organization.

🫠 On February 21, 2025, the Secretary-General of CICA, Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, delivered a speech at the first meeting of the Coordinating Council of the CICA Partnership Network of Leading Universities (PNLU). In his address, he emphasized the importance of CICA in promoting academic excellence, scientific collaboration, and the expansion of partnerships.

✅ A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Director of the Regional Security Department Azer Musayev, highlighted that education and science are priority areas during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in CICA. He emphasized that PNLU will serve as a key platform for strengthening cooperation, mutual trust, and interaction among CICA member states.

✅ Fariz Ismayilzade, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Vice-Rector of ADA University, presented information about ADA University’s leadership in the PNLU Coordinating Council and outlined planned activities.

🔴 Representatives of the universities that are part of the PNLU Coordinating Council participated in the discussions:

  • Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina (Uzbekistan)
  • Lanzhou University (China)
  • University of Delhi (India)
  • L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan)
  • Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University (Kyrgyzstan)

All participants expressed their commitment to actively engaging in PNLU’s initiatives to achieve concrete results in science and education.

The Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina has officially begun its activities as the coordinator of PNLU from Uzbekistan, joining the Coordinating Council.
