The Harm of Narcotic Substances and Awareness Campaigns Among Youth

Today, the spread of narcotic substances and their harmful effects on young people remain one of the most serious challenges facing our society. In order to combat this issue and protect the younger generation, a significant awareness event was held at Abu Ali ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute. The meeting was attended by the rector of the institute, Shuxrat Teshayev, and Deputy Head of the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Akhmadbek Matlyubov. They met with students to explain in detail the devastating impact of narcotic substances on human health, with a particular focus on the deadly consequences of synthetic drugs.

During the event, specialists emphasized how narcotics affect the human body and explained that drug use can lead not only to physical illnesses but also to serious mental health disorders. They also addressed the connection between drug use and criminal behavior, the broader social consequences, and the measures being taken to combat these issues. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the experts. The officials highlighted the importance of young people being conscious and active in the fight against drug abuse. They also stressed the significance of collaboration with law enforcement agencies in preventing the spread of these substances.

At the end of the event, various proposals and recommendations were made to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth and strengthen educational and preventive measures against harmful habits. Such meetings are expected to continue in the future, with awareness campaigns aimed at building resistance to drugs among young people becoming even more robust.
