The Physician’s Oath — a Moment of Honor and Responsibility

At present, a ceremony for taking the Physician’s Oath by international students is being held at Bukhara State Medical Institute. This solemn event vividly demonstrated the future doctors’ dedication to the medical profession and their high sense of responsibility for human health and life. Students from various countries united at this historic moment around one noble goal — sincere service to humanity — and solemnly pledged to remain faithful to their professional duty as physicians.

In the current academic year, the first-year international students who took the oath include nearly 1,000 students from India, around 60 from Jordan, 50 from Egypt, 10 from Pakistan, as well as 1 student from China, 3 from Turkey, 6 from Turkmenistan, 2 from Tajikistan, 1 from the USA, 1 from the United Kingdom, 2 from Azerbaijan, and 1 from Iran. These figures reflect the steadily growing international reputation and attractiveness of the institute.

Rector of the institute, Shukhrat Teshayev, who attended the ceremony, warmly congratulated all the students on taking the oath and encouraged them to demonstrate dedication, honesty, and compassion in serving patients. He also congratulated everyone on the upcoming New Year and emphasized that international educational and scientific cooperation will continue to expand. The event once again confirmed that Bukhara State Medical Institute is consistently broadening its international reach and strengthening its position as a reliable and prestigious educational institution for students from around the world.
