Today, together with the Bukhara State Medical Institute and the Regional Department for Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a scientific and practical conference on the topic “The role of Abu Ali Ibn Sina in world civilization“ was held at the public health college of Afshona village of Peshkun district. The conference was attended by scientists of our country, doctors working in the field of medicine, pharmacists, historians, orientalists, philosophers, biologists and chemists, representatives of traditional medicine, foreign and local students

Initially, in the first half of the day, the guests visited the museum named after the scientist and got acquainted with the exhibits representing the Atics of the epoch, historical landscapes and objects.

As you know, Abu Ali ibn Sina is one of the greatest scientists who left a bright mark in history, whose rich scientific heritage still causes pride and admiration of mankind. The scientist had a great influence on the development of science, education, culture of the East and West, at one time he was awarded such high statuses as “Sheikh UR-Rais”, “head of scientists”, “king of doctors”. The work “The laws of Chiba” has remained one of the most detailed works on medicine for centuries. In his speech, the rector of the Institute, Professor Shukhrat Teshaev, expressed a special opinion that the scientist’s works have not lost their place in world medicine for thousands of years and are extremely important.

The scientists who spoke at the conference gave lectures on the innovative ideas of Abu Ali Ibn Sina of his time, the philosophy of medicine, the role in the training of traditional medicine specialists, the contribution to the development of dentistry, moral and educational views. Foreign experts spoke about the ongoing scientific research on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, according to the Ibn Sina methodology, the spirit and influence of Avicenna in Europe, the legacy of Ibn Sina in India.

The event emphasized the need for such a scientific and practical conference to be held regularly and to further strengthen the ties of specialists in the field of studying the legacy of Abu Ali Ibn Sina.
