Head of Department
The Bukhara State Medical Institute was established in October 1990 by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Department of Pharmacology has been functioning since 1991-1992 academic year. The founder of the Department of Pharmacology, the head of the first department Bafoev Ibrahim Olimovich worked effectively as a leading specialist of his time.
In 1992-1994, the candidate of medical sciences T.Karimov headed the Department of Pharmacology. In 1994-1999, the department was expanded to include the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, which was renamed the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology. Employees of the department conducted practical, clinical and theoretical classes on “Pharmacology” and “Clinical Pharmacology” for 3rd year students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry.
In 1995, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor To’ra Mahmudovich Mahmudov was appointed Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology. During his work in 1995-1999, Professor T.M. Mahmudov was respected among the staff of the institute for his fruitful work and dedication. He founded his own school and trained a number of students. Professor T.M. One of Mahmudov’s students, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Musayeva Dilfuza Mahmudovna in 2000-2012 academic year headed the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
From March 1 to March 15, 2000, Quil Kang, a professor at Busan University in South Korea, gave lectures on Pharmacology in English.
In the 2013-2014 academic year, the head of the department was Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor O.M. Ernazarov was appointed. In the 2015-2016 academic year, the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology was merged with the Department of Normal and Pathological Physiology, and the department was renamed the Department of Pharmacology, Normal and Pathological Physiology. From the 2016-2017 academic year, the head of the department was appointed Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Musayeva Dilfuza Mahmudovna, who still leads the department with his enthusiasm and diligence.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, the department was separated from the Department of Normal and Pathological Physiology and merged with the Department of Microbiology, Virology, Immunology and renamed the Department of Microbiology and Pharmacology.
From the 2018-2019 academic year, the department was reunited with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and renamed the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, and Ph.D., Associate Professor D.M. Musayeva heads the department.
From the 2021-2022 academic year, the head of the department was appointed candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Yuldasheva Dilnavoz Khasanovna.
From the 2023 academic year, the department was divided with the Department of Pharmacology and renamed the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, headed by PhD, Associate Professor V.Z. Jalalova.
During its existence, the staff of the department has published more than 500 scientific articles and theses, about 100 manuals, more than 10 textbooks and manuals, as well as created electronic textbooks. More than 300 multimedia, video lessons and audio lessons were also provided to the students.
Employees of the department cooperate in teaching and research areas with the Departments of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology of prestigious universities in Turkey, Russia, China, the Republic of Korea and Korea, as well as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. They hold training courses, internships, webinars, international conferences with foreign partners.
November 25 is an international day to end violence against women girls.
On the date of 25.11.2023 , in the framework of “16 days of active activities against gender violence against women and girls”, the gender equality marathon was organized by the Institute with the participation of student girls , with the cooperation of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the Bukhara State Medical Institute, the chair of the Advisory Council of women’s

The issue of protecting the rights and interests of women in our country is of paramount importance, since women are important in their contribution to the legal culture for the sake of their place in the family, society, the ability to show their knowledge and potential, both for the family and for the prosperity of society.
In conjunction with the Department of basic and Clinical Pharmacology at Osh State University, a series of online guest lectures were held for General medicine 5th year students. All the composition of the department, in particular, Associate Professor A. A. We express great gratitude for cooperation with Momunova.
Volleyball competitions were held among female professors and teachers of the Bukhara State Medical Institute. Then one of the employees of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, V.Z. Dzhalalova and G.S. Ochilova took part in the team, took the 3rd prize place and were awarded various prizes.
