History of the department

The department was founded in 1991 by the Rector of the Institute Akhmedov R.M. under the guidance of Associate Professor I.Yu.Uzokov at the Department of Rheumatology and Pulmonology of the Bukhara Regional Hospital No. 1. In 1992, the department was transferred to the Bukhara city hospital and functioned as part of the 1st and 2nd therapeutic departments. In a short time, the active part of the department was formed under the leadership of I. Yu. Uzokov, the foundation of the educational process was laid. In 1994, the department was headed by Ph.D., O. Yu. Abdullaeva, and in the same year she was transferred to the sanitary department of the Bukhara textile mill. 1993–1994 Nurboev F.E. assistant of the department, worked as a senior teacher of the department in 1997-2000.

Nurboev Farmon Ergashevich (DSc) Since September 2021, she has been the head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases.

From 1997 to 2018, Ph.D. prof. Z.M. Orziev headed the department. In 2015, in connection with joining the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, the name of the department was changed to “Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Clinical Pharmacology and ACSI”. Until now, the department functions as a clinical base in a multidisciplinary medical center in the Bukhara region.

Professor Z.M. Under the leadership of Orziev, the staff of the department studied the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the digestive and respiratory systems. On these issues, 2 candidate dissertations (O.Kh. Khazratov, I.Zh. Aslonova) and 1 doctoral dissertation (Z.M. Orziev) were defended. The Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases teaches such subjects as Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Medical Nursing, Therapy, Bioethics, Nursing, Nursing in Therapy, Internal Medicine.

On January 14, 2018, according to the rector of the Bukhara State Medical Institute A.Sh. Zamira Khikmatovna Babadzhanova was appointed. Babadzhanova Z.Kh. He is a neurologist with a higher education. In 1998 he entered the medical faculty of the Bukhara State Medical Institute and graduated from this institute in 2005. In 2005-2007 he completed clinical residency at the Department of Neurology of the Bukhara State Medical Institute. In 2008-2011 he was a postgraduate student. In 2012 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Diseases of the nervous system in the structure of appeals in primary health care institutions and their rational management.”

The scientific direction

To acquaint students with basic knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, digestive organs and other internal organs at the initial stages.

Achievements of the department

Independent researcher of the department Yuldasheva D.Kh. On April 25, 2019, he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Relationship between the clinical and endoscopic picture and the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease with the type of reflux environment.” Also, Yuldasheva D.Kh. On November 9, 2018, he took an honorable 2nd place in the “Best Teacher” competition held at the republican level.

In August 2018, he received a certificate after 1 month of advanced training at the University of Medical Sciences in Ankara, Turkey. 25 students completed a summer internship at the University of Medical Sciences in Ankara. The students were awarded with certificates.

In April 2019, the head of the department Babadzhanova Z.Kh., associate professor of the department Khamidova Z.N. and assistant Khalimova D.Zh. At the Medical University of Astana RK held master classes for students on academic mobility. In November 2019, the head of the department Babadzhanova Z.Kh. and assistant Khalimova D.Zh. They took part in the international forum consisting of 6 4th year students in the city of Alma-Ata of the Republic of Kazakhstan and took the honorable 1st place.

  In April 2018, the head of the department Babadzhanova Z. Kh. and assistant Erkinova N. E. at the scientific and practical conference of the medical institute, held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan participated.

In the department of Babadzhanova Z.Kh. Under the leadership of Gafurov B.G., Babadzhanov A.S. on the topic “Development of the concept of providing neurological care to the population in PHC today”; Tosheva Kh.B. “Dynamics of markers of renal fibrosis against the background of complex treatment”; Erkinova N.E. “Interaction of aldosterone and albuminuria with functional fibrotic changes in the kidneys in chronic heart failure against the background of complex treatment”; Khalilova F.A. “The effectiveness of antianemic treatment of fibrotic processes in the heart and kidneys and electrolyte balance in chronic heart failure with anemia” prof. PhD. Gadaev A.G. conduct scientific work under his direction.

The project of the British Consulate in Tashkent in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education within the framework of the project “English as a means of teaching” EMI (English as a means of teaching) Musaeva R.Kh., assistant of the department participated and was awarded certificates of the NILE Institute.

In 2019, the assistant of the department R.Kh.Musaeva is a laureate of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She won a grant to study in South Korea at the Sejou Clinic.

In 2021-2022, Musaeva R. Kh., Department Assistant, received a US Federal Department Fulbright Exchange scholarship from the Hubert H. Humphrey Program at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
