Dear Colleagues,
The Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino invites you to participate in the International Forum for Students and Young Scientists “Morphology and Surgery”, which will be held in Bukhara from February 16–22, 2026.
The forum is held in accordance with the plan of “Scientific and Technical Events to be Conducted in 2026,” approved by the order No. 11 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 16, 2026.
“MORPHOLOGY AND SURGERY” INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR STUDENTS AND YOUNG SCIENTISTS Schedule of Events (February 9–14, 2026)
The International Forum of Students and Young Scientists “Morphology and Surgery” (February 16–22, 2026) is an annual youth scientific event in the field of morphology and surgery aimed at strengthening the youth scientific community, improving the professional level of young researchers, and searching for new solutions for the development of science and technology.

1. International Student Surgery Olympiad (February 16–21, 2026)
The Olympiad aims to improve the quality of professional surgical training in Uzbekistan and to develop international cooperation among surgical teams to identify the best approaches for training surgeons worldwide. It is an educational, incentive, and training event.
Goals
- Develop students’ creative abilities and interest in surgical and research activity
- Support talented youth
- Promote scientific knowledge and innovative technologies in medicine
Objectives
- Formation of practical surgical skills among students
- Promotion of high-technology surgical knowledge
- Formation of a positive public opinion about medical education
- Encouragement of participation of business representatives in medical education
- Development of innovative and distance learning technologies
- Optimization of selection of young specialists for postgraduate surgical education
- Development of the international student surgical movement
- Increasing the global prestige of Uzbek student surgery
- Media coverage of the Olympiad and preparation of educational materials
Participation confirmation must be sent by January 20, 2026 via email to morphology-surgery@mail.ru, including the main team composition (up to 20 participants).
Ordinary residents, graduate students, and specialists who have already graduated from medical universities are not allowed to participate. Each team may nominate one teacher to the jury. Applications are accepted until January 25, 2026.

The final schedule of the International Student Surgery Olympiad (February 16–21, 2026) and the International Forum events (February 16–22, 2026) will be sent to registered participants by reply email.
2. International Scientific and Practical Conference (February 21–22, 2026) “Multifaceted Surgery: From Morphology Foundations to Clinical Peaks” aims to disseminate knowledge in clinical and experimental morphology and surgery among current and future doctors, scientists, and students in clinical and biomedical fields. Presentations include modern clinical surgery challenges and relevant treatment methods, emphasizing scientific development of surgery and the role of morphological sciences in contemporary medicine.

Presenters may be students or young scientists. The conference will be held both in-person (at BSMI) and online. Languages: Uzbek, Russian, English. Conference materials will be published in the journal “Bulletin of Fundamental and Clinical Medicine”.
Registration for participation and submission of abstracts must be sent by January 25, 2026, to morphology-surgery@mail.ru. Submission includes two files: the manuscript (with first author’s name in the file title) and the registration form.

3. Scientific and Practical Seminar “Modern Surgical Horizons” (February 21–22, 2026)
A lecture cycle by leading experts in morphology and surgery. Educational and project youth platforms are organized for Researchers, Innovators, Speakers, and Science Organizers:
- Researchers: young scientists and future research leaders in morphology and surgery
- Innovators: authors of startups and grants in morphology and surgery
- Speakers: educational authors from institutions
- Science Organizers: managers, project organizers, youth scientific society leaders
4. Start-Up Project Competition (February 21–22, 2026)
Participants: students, master’s students, residents, doctoral students, young scientists.
Purpose:
- Stimulate scientific activity
- Strengthen scientific cooperation
- Support innovation
- Identify talent
- Develop medical start-up ecosystem
Projects may include diagnostics, treatment methods, medical devices, mobile applications, biotechnology, healthcare services.
Participation rules
- Individual or team (max 5 members)
- One project per participant
- One presenter per team
Key requirements
- Innovative project with expected results
- Not previously funded or presented
- Prototype or MVP required
- Presentation up to 10 slides
- Defense: 5–7 minutes
Stages
- Applications: until January 20, 2026
- Expert selection: until January 31, 2026
- Final evaluation: until February 22, 2026
Applications must be submitted via Telegram group of organizers.
Winner awarded in the nomination “Best Project”.
Technical requirements for submission: Team info, project description, methods, competitors, implementation and marketing plan, technical data, resources, budget, media files, intellectual property, QR code or links for more information.
Evaluation criteria: scientific significance, novelty, methodology, practical applicability, clarity of implementation and marketing plan, quality of additional materials, professional formatting and presentation.
Certificates will be given to all participants. Winners of Start-Up projects will be awarded in the “Best Project” category on February 22, 2026.
Applications must be submitted by January 25, 2026. Confirmation emails will be sent to registered participants by January 30, 2026.

Participation in the Forum
To participate in the forum, each candidate must submit an application by January 25, 2026.
All applications will be reviewed by the Forum Commission.
Confirmation of participation will be sent to the email address provided during registration no later than January 30, 2026.
