In early November, Petrozavodsk State University was visited by a delegation from the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina. The delegation included Rector Shukhrat Jumaevich Teshaev and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Laziz Nurkhanovich Niyazov.

The guests met with the university leadership and discussed the implementation of network educational programs “General Medicine” and “Pediatrics”. Within these programs, 15 students from Uzbekistan are studying at PetrSU. The students had the opportunity to share their impressions of studying at the Medical Institute named after Prof. A.P. Zilber and living in Petrozavodsk. Rector of BSMI had previously visited PetrSU in 2021, when a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed.

In September, BSMI celebrated its 35th anniversary. The institute is one of the leading universities in the country and ranks second among medical institutions.
