📝 The state certification was conducted in two stages, with the participation of 11 students. The diploma awarding ceremony will take place on June 24.



Cooperation between Bukhara State Medical Institute and Kunming Medical University is strengthening
19.06.2025 2025-06-21 11:21As part of a working visit to the People’s Republic of China, Professor Shuhrat Teshayev, Rector of the Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, visited Kunming Medical University — one of China’s leading medical universities — and signed a cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, bilateral cooperation will be established in education and medicine. Plans include student, master’s, and clinical resident exchanges. The delegation also got acquainted with the nursing center and clinics of the university. KMU professors will conduct internships and participate in surgical procedures at BukhSMI clinical sites in the future.

Kunming Medical University – The medical backbone of Yunnan
Founded in 1933, KMU is one of the largest medical universities in southwestern China. It hosts over 20,000 students across undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and international programs. Students from over 40 countries are currently enrolled. The university employs over 6,000 professors and clinical specialists.

Cooperation Memorandum Signed Between Bukhara State Medical Institute and Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
19.06.2025 2025-06-20 16:40A delegation led by Prof. Shuhrat Teshayev, Rector of the Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, is currently on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China. As part of the visit, meetings were held with several leading Chinese universities to discuss the development of academic cooperation.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (YUTCM), one of China’s leading medical universities.
Founded in 1960, YUTCM is a large public university specializing in traditional Chinese medicine, herbal treatment, physiotherapy, acupuncture, healthcare management, and nursing.

Currently, the university has around 25,000 students, including hundreds of international students.
It is noteworthy that over 50% of medical practice in China is based on traditional medicine, and YUTCM is one of the leading academic and research centers in this field.

The signed memorandum includes cooperation in the following areas:
Student and academic staff exchange;
Joint educational programs;
Collaborative research and co-supervised dissertations;
Cultivation and application of medicinal herbs;
Clinical training and international internships.
This partnership will enhance Bukhara State Medical Institute’s international academic network, deepen the integration of traditional and modern medicine, and boost its capacity in training future specialists.
