👩‍⚕️From May 27 to 29, 2024, a large-scale medical event was held at the “Muruvvat” Boarding House for Children with Disabilities in Bukhara Region. During the examination, nearly 180 children with Down syndrome and over 300 other children with disabilities underwent thorough medical check-ups conducted by qualified specialists.

📌The implementation of this project was made possible through collaboration between the Bukhara Regional Administration, the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, and American philanthropist and entrepreneur Mrs. Nikki Leyla Hafezi. This initiative was agreed upon during an official meeting held in February 2024.

🟢During the February discussions, key issues were addressed, including organizing in-depth medical examinations for children with disabilities in Bukhara, arranging surgical operations if necessary, and providing sponsorship for treatment processes.

❕Professors and lecturers from the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute also participated in the medical examinations. Alongside American specialists, they not only examined the children but also conducted practical training sessions for final-year students of the institute.

On May 28, within the framework of the First Forum of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the Rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute, Shuhrat Teshayev, visited Andijan region to become acquainted with the activities of Andijan State Medical Institute.

During the visit, ADMI Rector M. Madazimov introduced the guest to the institute’s clinic and a newly constructed academic building designed to accommodate 2,000 students. Currently, major renovation work is being carried out at the 650-bed clinic. This facility is significant in that it can simultaneously provide educational and practical training opportunities for up to 11,000 students.

The new academic building was constructed on a 2-hectare plot of land in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PQ-5154, dated June 21, 2021, as part of the initiative to develop the “New Andijan” district and support entrepreneurship. It has now been commissioned for use, offering space for 2,000 students.

During the visit, the rectors explored the Simulation Center located within the new building. They observed demonstrations involving the use of robotic simulators.

Rector Sh. Teshayev praised the educational programs at the institute, particularly the achievements in the paramedicine field. He emphasized the strong material and technical base supporting this progress and noted that such experiences contribute to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation in higher education.

📣 On May 8 of this year, the sports trials held under the slogan “An Athlete is a Defender of the Motherland” at the Sports and Wellness Center of Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina have concluded.

☄️ Students and teams who actively participated in these competitions and achieved high results took part in the award ceremony today. Winners and prize holders were presented with diplomas, certificates of honor, and memorable gifts. During the ceremony, special emphasis was placed on the role of sports in youth life, the importance of physical education, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

💬 The event was held in a festive and uplifting atmosphere, leaving unforgettable impressions on the participants.

🔗 The main goal of the forum was to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the fields of education, investment, trade, and the economy. 📝 The event brought together representatives of leading medical higher education institutions from Uzbekistan, executives from various Indian companies specializing in medicine and education, as well as media representatives. The Bukhara State Medical Institute was represented by PhD Ravshan Radjabovich Baymuradov, Associate Professor of the Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy (OXTA). During his presentation, he introduced attendees to:

  • the scientific and innovative potential of the institute,
  • the conditions created for international students,
  • the academic process and current opportunities,
  • and future development plans.

The forum served as a valuable platform for enhancing international cooperation and exchanging experience in the fields of medical education and business between the two countries.

🏛✅Professors and lecturers of the Department of Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Health Management at Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina have returned from a business trip to the prestigious I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

✅During the visit, they participated in the scientific-practical conference titled “Current Issues in Preventive Medicine and Public Health”, organized at this prominent international higher education institution. Within the framework of the event, they also supervised students participating in the 13th All-Russian Student Olympiad in Epidemiology, and delivered lectures and practical sessions for Sechenov University students as part of the academic mobility program.

🕐The “Avicenna” team from Bukhara State Medical Institute proudly won 1st place among 21 teams from 7 countries. Additionally, both professors and students delivered presentations at the international conference based on their scientific work and were awarded international certificates.

✔️The First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment, Z.S. Bakhranova, recently returned from a working visit to Webster University, located in St. Louis, USA. During the trip, she became closely acquainted with the modern facilities, educational system, and student opportunities provided at this internationally renowned higher education institution.

🤝 The visit resulted in important agreements on experience sharing, fostering international cooperation, and improving educational processes based on best practices. In particular, plans are underway to develop an internationally-aligned education system at Abu Ali ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, as well as to launch exchange programs for students and academic staff.
