On October 21, a festive event was held at the Bukhara State Medical Institute on the theme “You are my native language” on the occasion of the “Day of assigning the status of the state language to the Uzbek language.”

Zubaida Bagronova, vice-rector of the institute for youth work and spiritual work, opened the festive event and emphasized the place and importance of the native language in our lives, and ensuring its purity is the highest responsibility of each of us.

During the event, in accordance with the requirements of the institute, talented students presented information about the history of the Uzbek language, the heritage of our great ancestors who created our language, artistic performances, songs and dances.

Today, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan, Mrs. Smita Pant, visited the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina.

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Ambassador Shukhrat Teshaev, Dean of the Faculty of International Medicine Laziz Niyazov and Dean of the Faculty of International Medicine Dilnoza Hasanova visited important centers: the library, simulation center, clinic, and the main building of the Smith Pant Institute.

In connection with the 35th anniversary of the assignment of the status of the state language to the Uzbek language and the “Uzbek Language Day”, the Center for Promotion of Social Activism of Students and Pupils of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation organized the institute stage of the republican competition “Linguists”. The competition was held in the form of a test, and about 100 students tested their knowledge of the state language.

The winners of the competition will be awarded a cash prize from the administration of the institute.
