Head of the Department of Epidemiology of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina of the Republic of Uzbekistan, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Mehriniso Mirzoyeva met with students of the I therapeutic and preventive Faculty of the Department of infectious diseases of the AMU.

During the event, the professor gave a presentation on the topic “epidemiology, clinic and principles of treatment of extremely dangerous infections”, focusing on the news that is happening in the world and the latest information on this issue. Mehriniso Mirzoyeva’s speech was listened to with interest by the staff of the department and students. It was noted that he touched on a topical and interesting topic that caused extensive discussion among professors.

After that, within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation, which is expected to be signed between the Bukhara State Medical Institute and the Azerbaijan Medical Institute, opinions were exchanged on conducting joint research work, writing scientific articles and preparing textbooks by these departments.

This holiday was established in Geneva in 1925 at the World Conference on the Welfare of Children, and 25 years later it has been celebrated as a holiday since 1950.

Today, the courtyard of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina was filled with joy, fun and laughter of the children and grandchildren of the workforce, professors and teachers.

The vice-rector of the institute, Zubaida Bakhranova, congratulated the children on this holiday and wished them health and a happy childhood.

The holiday program included sports competitions and songs for children at the sports complexes of various institutes. The management of the institute also presented souvenirs to all participants of the holiday.

As part of the visit of the head of our state to the Bukhara region, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shahrukh Daliyev, who is in our region, got acquainted with the activities of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino and its modern clinic.

First, Sh. Daliyev inspected the building, the information resource center and the large assembly hall of the Bukhara State Medical Institute. He expressed his opinion about the created conditions and opportunities.

In addition, the Deputy Minister, getting acquainted with the activities of the simulation center, sports complex and the recently commissioned clinic, emphasized the need to improve the skills of students through the development of higher medical education and strengthening of practical medical processes in these institutions.

Rector Sh. Teshaev gave information about the work being done to meaningfully spend students’ free time.

The First Deputy Minister focused on organizing the admission process for the 2024/2025 academic year at this educational institution and instructed to strengthen propaganda work to bring the new admission system to applicants, their parents and the general public.

In order to meaningfully organize the free time of students of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina, within the framework of 5 important initiative projects, a “Culinary Championship”, an “Artist” competition, national games, and exhibitions were held in the main building of the student dormitory. Opening the event, the rector of the institute, Shukhrat Teshaev, presented the winning students with diplomas and valuable souvenirs.

The Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina hosted the IV Republican Olympiad “From diagnosis to treatment, multidisciplinary medicine” in the areas of oncology, medical radiology and nuclear medicine, surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation.

The main goal of this Olympiad is to increase students’ interest in various areas of medicine, develop their knowledge and skills in this area, as well as popularize students’ scientific and creative approach to learning. Students from all medical universities in our republic took part in the Olympiad.
