Tursunov Shermukhammadkhoja Lutfulloevich was born on May 27, 1985, in Bukhara district, Bukhara region. In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino.
From 2009 to 2011, he completed a residency in “Cardiac Surgery” at the A.N. Bakulev Research Institute in Moscow. He continued his education from 2011 to 2014 in a postgraduate program specializing in cardiac surgery at the same institute.
From 2010 to 2015, he obtained a certificate in X-ray endovascular diagnostics and treatment from the State Budgetary Institution of Postgraduate Education, Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
On December 19, 2014, he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences by the Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery named after A.N. Bakulev. After that, from 2014 to 2017, he completed a doctoral program in “Cardiac Surgery” at this institute.
From 2017 to 2023, he worked as the head of the angio-graphy and X-ray endovascular surgery department at the Bukhara Multidisciplinary Medical Center. He performed over 6,000 surgeries, including the first-ever stenting of cardiovascular systems and implantation of pacemakers in the region. Additionally, he carried out complex interventions on brain vessels, working with international specialists on more than 100 surgeries.
Since 2021, he has been appointed as the Vice-Rector for Medical Affairs at the Bukhara State Medical Institute.
