Amonov Malik Mansurovich

General information​

Malik Amonov is a prominent scientist and educator specializing in immunology, microbiology, and public health. He currently serves as the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Affairs at the Bukhara State Medical Institute. With his international experience, rich academic background, and active teaching role, he contributes significantly to advancing science, improving education quality, and enhancing research capacity at the institute.

His scientific work focuses on immunology, vaccine development, and antibiotic resistance. In particular, he has worked on projects related to live attenuated vaccines against Streptococcus pneumoniae, DNA vaccines against Vibrio cholerae, and the study of genetic resistance mechanisms in Acinetobacter baumannii. These research efforts address some of the most pressing global health issues.

For over 10 years, he has carried out academic and scientific work at leading higher education institutions in Malaysia, Japan, and Uzbekistan. He served as a lecturer, research fellow, and postdoctoral researcher at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, publishing more than ten articles in international scientific journals.

Today, he supervises scientific work of researchers, master’s, and PhD students. Several theses have been completed under his guidance. His research in vaccine development through genetic engineering, NETosis (neutrophil extracellular traps), and bacterial infections are especially noteworthy.

Malik Amonov is recognized in both local and international scientific communities for his dedication, innovation, independent thinking, and strong work ethic.

He has received government-funded grants from Malaysia, Japan (MEXT), and Uzbekistan, and has been awarded several honors and incentives for his contributions to science.

  • 2014–2019 – PhD student at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Malaysia)
