Abstract

The problem of treating locally widespread regional metastases of cancer in the neck remains relevant today, since the only hope for the patient remains the surgical removal of tumor nodes. The results of radiation treatment of such patients alone remain unsatisfactory. To date, the surgical method of treating regional metastases, both independently and in terms of a combined meth-od, remains one of the leading ones. However, the use of this method is limited for regional metastases corresponding to the symbols N2 and N3.

Key words

lymphogenic metastases, locally advanced cancer, oral cavity, combined and com-plex treatment, squamous cell carcinoma.
