Abstract
A number of scientific studies are being conducted worldwide to improve the effective-ness of measures aimed at reducing complications and deaths of tumors in this area. In this regard, there is an increasing need for the introduction and revision of modern methods for studying the fea-tures of regional metastasis in patients with oropharyngeal tumors. In particular, the study of the fea-tures of tumor metastasis in oncology; optimization of diagnosis and treatment of patients at risk of oropharyngeal tumor metastasis; treatment of patients with oropharyngeal tumors with chemotherapy and prevention of subsequent complications, development of a new method of extended lymphadissec-tion with resection of the nervous and vascular system in metastatic lesions of the lymph nodes of the neck. In oncology, the development of modern methods to reduce disability and mortality in patients complicated by oropharyngeal tumors remains a priority.
