Scientific work

The scientific direction of the department is reconstructive surgery of malformations in children. Coloproctology, pediatric cardiac surgery, newborn surgery, video endoscopic surgery have received new development.

The department carries out scientific work:

In 1991 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Disease of the double kidney in children” under the guidance of Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Academician GABairov Professor K.M. Mirzhonov.

in 1998 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on “Ozone therapy of purulent surgical soft tissue infection in children” under the guidance of Professor A.Sh. Shamsiev Associate Professor F.S. Raupov.

In 1999 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Anti-reflux operation for vesicoureteral reflux in children” under the guidance of Professor J.B. Beknazarov K.K. Koziev.

In 2021 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in medical sciences (PhD) on the topic “Clinical and immunological predictors of the outcome of surgical correction of congenital heart defects in children” under the guidance of Professor Sh.I. Navruzova and MCh, Dr Aseem R Srivastava (India) A.T. Akhmedov.

In the sources reviewed by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, over the past year, the staff of the department published more than 200 articles.

The staff of the department make scientific reports at Republican, All-Russian and international conferences, congresses and symposia.

The scientific student circle is working successfully, 5-6 reports are presented annually at various conferences on pediatric surgery, in 2020, a student of the pediatric faculty Takhmina Arzieva won 2 republican Olympiads (1st and 2nd places).

Inventive activity – over the past 5 years, the staff of the department received 2 patents for inventions.  Released 2 teaching aids and more than 20 guidelines on various sections of pediatric surgery.
