Today, at the Bukhara State Medical Institute, in order to widely promote the culture of reading and reading among students, the institute stage of the republican competition “The Book is My Friend” among students and youth was held.

During the event, Z.S. Bakhranova, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, Spiritual and Educational Work of the Bukhara State Medical Institute, gave a speech and spoke about the full organization of students’ and pupils’ free time, the wide promotion of reading and the culture of reading. He emphasized that by promoting the importance and value of works of art in the education of young people, we will educate our young people to be healthy and comprehensively developed, and also support talented young people with independent and free thinking.

➖On the 2nd day of the service trip, the leadership of the Bukhara State Medical Institute visited the Andung hospital and got acquainted with the hospital’s activities. This hospital has a capacity of 2,000 beds and serves not only the city of Andong but also the province of Kyong Sang Gukto. In addition, a helicopter service has been established in this hospital to provide emergency medical services to mountainous areas. At the same time, the nuclear medicine center also operates within the hospital.

A cooperation agreement was signed between Andong hospital and Bukhara State Medical Institute.

Also, the company Eska Bio Science, located in Andong, which manufactures medicines and vaccines, was introduced to its work, and the issues of future cooperation with this company were discussed.

In addition, the activity of the innovative center for vaccine production was also introduced. Issues of cooperation with this center and scientific research were discussed.

Sessions are held on the last day of the conference. L. Niyazov, vice-rector for international cooperation, gave a speech at the panel session. Additional information about Uzbekistan and Bukhara tourism was given in the lecture.

These days, the conference “ANDONG: INVITATION TO JOIN THE WORLD NETWORK OF HUMANISTIC CITIES” is being held in Andong (South Korea), which was attended by Vice-Rector for Cooperation L. Niyazov.

Objective of the conference: Andong City plans to create a platform called the World Humanist Cities Network (WHCN) to achieve sustainable development and world peace by promoting humanitarian values.

In addition, the conference was attended by leaders and officials from more than 20 countries. During the conference, each participating country provided brief information about its population, cities and social status.

Among them, the vice-rector of the institute, L. Niyazov, made a brief report on Uzbekistan and Bukhara. This report provided general information about the city of Bukhara, regional tourism and detailed information about the Bukhara State Medical Institute.

As part of the inter-university international cooperation, the Bukhara State Medical University named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina was visited by the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Astrakhan State Medical University (Russia), Professor S.P. Sinchikhin. During the meeting with Rector Sh.J. Teshayev and Vice-Rector L.N. Niyazov, the updated cooperation agreement between the universities was re-signed, and specific steps for its implementation were outlined. Plans were formulated for conducting joint scientific research and publications in leading specialized journals, as well as the participation of Astrakhan State Medical University staff in the work of the Dissertation Council at Bukhara State Medical University as official opponents.

At the clinical base of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 (head: Prof. G.A. Ikhtiyarova) at the Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2 in Bukhara, Professor Sinchikhin S.P. delivered a lecture on the topic: “How to prevent the development and progression of preterm labor?” An active discussion with practitioners from the maternity hospital and staff from the department highlighted not only the relevance of the discussed issue but also the practical importance of preventive work aimed at reducing the number of premature infants and improving perinatal outcomes for women in the region.

In conclusion, Prof. G.A. Ikhtiyarova noted that the exchange of experience between specialists and a scientifically justified approach to practical work always contribute to both personal professional growth and the improvement of the quality of medical care provided.
