Abstract

According to scientists, older people can live 120 years if they follow healthy eating rules. In medicine and ethnоscience, it has been proven that dividing older people into 3 groups: elderly, senile and centenarians, if they follow the principles of proper and healthy nutrition, improves the quality of life and promotes longevity. Knowing the factors that accelerate aging and preventing them, managing the aging process, apart from medications, exposure to the healing properties of food slows down the aging process. When creating a menu for older people, it is necessary to take into account a number of factors and comply with daily energy needs. Limiting the consumption of animal products in older people and increasing the use of nutrients prepared from medicinal plants is important in the prevention and treatment of diseases in this age group. Eating easily digestible foods rich in fiber helps improve digestion, bile production, and prevents constipation. Daily physiological needs for energy value and nutrients have been developed and proven to be effective for elderly and senile people.
