Abstract
An analysis was made of the prevalence of mental pathology and the results of assessing the state of mental health of the population of Uzbekistan in the period 2018-2021. The sources of information were the databases of the Consultative Organizational Department for Psychiatry under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. Based on the presented statistical data, the issues of the growth of morbidity and morbidity of the population with mental disorders, and the corresponding dynamics of comprehensive losses due to these disorders are discussed. It is concluded that in order to obtain reliable results, modern schemes for conducting epidemiological studies should be implemented taking into account the socio-cultural level of the population, adaptation of diagnostic tools, high-quality training and education of personnel, as well as with a clear use of statistical criteria and requirements in the collection and analysis of information received research.
