Annotatsiya

The paper reports a prevalence of temporomandibular joint disease (20.9%) in prepubertal children. Habitual dislocation, occurring against a backdrop of asymmetric occlusion with closely positioned teeth in both frontal and lateral regions of the dentition, is characteristic of this age group. It was shown that clinical manifestations of TMJ disease varied between children and adults: pain syndrome and auditory effects during mandibular movements are atypical in children, unlike in adults. The data from outpatient cards delineates the structure of nosological types of disease throughout various stages of occlusion development. TMJ pathology is established throughout preschool years, with its prevalence thereafter increasing. The paper proposes varied tactical approaches for the successful treatment of TMJ
