Abstract

Research was conducted on 159 dry certified turtles. All skulls were divided into age groups: I – 7-12 years, II – 13-16 years, III – 17- 21 years, IV – 22-35 years, V – 36-60 years and VI – 61 and older. The results showed that when comparing the two groups, significant differences were found between age group I and age group II (right and left - PU˂0.001), III (right and left - PU˂0.001), IV (right and left - PU˂0.001), V (right and left - PU˂0.001) and VI (right and left - PU=0.002) age groups. The parameters of the last group also had significant differences when compared with II (right - PU=0.013 and left - PU=0.018), with III (right - PU=0.027 and left - PU=0.031), IV (right - PU=0.006 and left - PU=0.008), and V (right - PU=0.002 and left - PU=0.007) age groups.
