Abstract

1st Type diabetes mellitus (QD) is the most common endocrine pathology in children. Acute complications, severe chronic complications, early death at a young age put diabetes in line with the most important medical problems and require serious attention from health authorities. Objective: to study the properties of light-breaking parts of the eyes of children with diabetes mellitus in the second period of childhoodmorphometric indicators. Materials and methods: data from the study of morphometric parameters of light-breaking parts of the eyes in children with diabetes mellitus were analyzed: between 2019 and 2022, 100 children between the ages of 7 and 18 years and gender were examined anologically. Of those 1, 60 children were tested for diabetes and 40 healthy children (comparison group) were also tested. Conclusion: regardless of the severity of the disease, as a result of diabetes mellitus, reactivedystrophic pathological changes in these eye parameters were detected.
